SUMMER 2025

Who is this for? This intensive is for pre-professional and professional dancers who are interested in developing as artists. Our focus for these four days will be connection through rigor in the form we love. Those who are curious about growing not only their abilities in dance in itself, but also expanding on their agency in professional environments. From freelance to company, from maker to collaborator, this is a space that will help you build a toolkit for any endeavor. 

During our intensives, we strive to focus on an interconnected process. We model our intensives after a professional training or working experience, with the intention of leaving our dancers feeling a deeper sense of connection to dance and to their collaborators. Our program spans 4 days, with the last day culminating in an in studio presentation. Over the course of the workshop, we will do a deep dive into composition, both as individuals and in collaboration with our peers. In accordance with the values of Fresh Congress, we will be focusing our time together around discovering and deepening our choreographic voices.

We are also pleased to be partnering with Dr. Lexii Alcaraz to bring free physical therapy sessions to the participants of the intensive.
